Sergey Nazarov is a Russian-American entrepreneur and technology investor who specializes in blockchain projects. He is the co-founder of Chainlink, a decentralized network that connects blockchain-based smart contracts to real-world data sources.
Nazarov has been involved in the crypto space since 2011 when he founded CryptaMail, a decentralized email service. He later co-founded SmartContract.com, a platform allowing users to create and execute smart contracts on various blockchains. In 2017, he co-authored a white paper introducing the Chainlink protocol and network with Cornell University professor Ari Juels.
Nazarov is also a visionary leader who advocates for a cross-chain future that enables applications to leverage multiple blockchains and off-chain services. He has partnered with the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) to bridge the gap between traditional banks and blockchains using Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP).
Nazarov has also spoken at numerous crypto events and conferences, such as Consensus, Web Summit, and SmartCon.
