Unified National Networks (UNN) has engaged Dell Technologies to deploy solutions for modernizing its data centers. Through this partnership, Brunei’s integrated national telecommunication network operator aims to fuel the country’s telecom transformation in line with Brunei Vision 2035. This will also future-proof UNN to deliver its next-generation IoT, AI, and 5G-enabled services.
UNN has been able to significantly reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO) for its data centers. This was done with the help of a portfolio of solutions deployed by Dell Technologies. These solutions use VxRail, Unity XT, PowerEdge, PowerProtect DD Series appliances, and PowerVault storage arrays. As a result, UNN has increased its investment in fast-tracking the development of next-generation IaaS solutions.
With Dell Technologies as its partner for the transformation of telecommunications, UNN can now deliver a much better and more secure virtual infrastructure to its customers. The company is also implementing additional cyber security services with the help of Dell to enhance its cloud program.
UNN’s Senior Vice President for Data Center and IT, Daniele Cuocci, is greatly impressed by the high level of competence and knowledge that Dell has displayed in strategizing and deploying these solutions. Dell has a deep knowledge of the communication service provider market and considerable expertise in telecom solutions.
This will enable Dell Technologies to deliver the desired business outcomes for UNN, according to Anothai Wettayakorn, Vice President of Dell Technologies, Asia Emerging Markets and South Asia CSB. He also said that Dell’s partnership with UNN will also focus on the introduction of software-defined networking using VMware NSX. This will play an important role in supporting the development of UNN’s next-generation services.
