Meet Kelly Caldwell, the Owner of Caldwell Real Estate Group with Royal LePage Locations North, a dedicated Real Estate Investor and an inspiring figure in the world of real estate. Kelly’s journey began back in 2012 when she and her husband, Jeff, started investing in real estate. Relocating to Collingwood, Ontario, provided her with a purpose: creating and providing clean, safe, and appropriate rental housing through legal accessory dwelling units (ADUs).
Kelly’s personal experiences of facing near homelessness and poverty during her youth have instilled in her an understanding of the importance of having a secure and comfortable place to call home. With unwavering passion and a drive to make a positive impact, she is now paying it forward by sharing her expertise and knowledge with the community through a special event.
Having overcome economic difficulties and a lack of stable housing herself, Kelly is now on a mission to create a better future for others. Through the years, she has skillfully scaled her portfolio and business by investing in her real estate education and personal development. Strategic partnerships with experts and investors have been instrumental in her success.
Kelly’s focus on legal accessory dwelling units has become a cornerstone of her mission to help address the housing shortage in Collingwood. These ADUs offer a viable solution and clean and safe rental options for residents. To further this cause, Kelly has also teamed up with Ian Hocking, with whom she co-owns Elevated Wealth Creations Inc., and Mandy Branham as her mentor and Coach as she ventures into larger-scale multi-family investing. Sharing their expertise and knowledge enables her to expand her efforts in providing housing to many in the wider community.
The pinnacle of her efforts can be experienced in the upcoming event hosted by Kelly and her husband, Jeff, called ‘Unlocking Potential – a step-by-step guide on creating legalized accessory apartments in Collingwood.’
The event is open to the public and goes beyond just providing information on creating legal accessory units. Their goal is to empower homeowners by offering both the “how” and the “who” aspects of the process. This seminar, scheduled for Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Bear Estate (Living Water Resort), will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with doors opening at 9:30 a.m., and registrations can be carried from here.
The event aims to not only contribute to the inventory of rental housing in Collingwood but also to make the process of creating legal accessory units clear and simple through a step-by-step approach. Kelly is passionate about helping homeowners understand the process better and feel empowered in their real estate endeavors.
Kelly is deeply grateful for the support from sponsors that have made this event possible. Living Water Resort, Keyspire, Ouellet & Associates Design Inc., and Royal LePage Locations North Brokerage have played an essential role in turning Kelly’s vision into reality.
The event also goes beyond education, as attendees will have access to her “power team” of tradespeople and professionals who play key roles in her day-to-day business and who are an integral part of her success. From Mortgage Brokers to Architects and Design firms, Building and Planning representatives, Grant Funding Specialists, licensed contractors, tenant placement and paralegal services, as well as the real estate education platform Keyspire, participants will have all the necessary resources to embark on their own journey of creating legal accessory apartments.
