Kuala Belait witnessed a turnout of around 200 individuals at the Kidney Health for All roadshow held yesterday. The event, jointly organized by the Ministry of Health and World Kidney Day 2023, featured a spectrum of engaging activities geared toward advocating a healthy lifestyle, enhancing kidney health awareness, and combatting the impacts of kidney ailments.
The diverse agenda encompassed a lively Zumba session as well as a four-kilometer fun walk and run event. The roadshow also offered booths providing renal screenings and consultations, along with interactive table games and informal educational entertainment aimed at shedding light on kidney health.
The esteemed guest of honor for the occasion was Acting Belait District Officer Haji Amirol Hafidzin bin Haji Muhammad. The initiative, initially launched in May within the Brunei-Muara District, is set to continue its outreach efforts in the Temburong District on September 17.
Remarkably, the Kidney Health for All roadshow was conducted concurrently with the monthly KBKu Ceria activity organized by the Kuala Belait and Seria Municipal Board. This broader event featured more than 40 vendors offering an array of food, beverages, and handcrafted goods along Jalan Sungai and around Menara Cendera Kenangan. The concerted efforts of such health-focused initiatives and community events reflect a proactive approach toward raising awareness about kidney health and fostering a spirit of well-being.
